· Tackers 1 (newcomers 7 -12 years) Dec 27 -31 2009 , 9am -1pm each day.
· Tackers 2 (last year Tackers 1 kids 8 - 13 years), Dec 27-31 1.30pm - 4.30pm each day
· Teenagers and Adults 14 years and up Learn to sail Dec 27-31, 9am - 1pm each day.

SUMMER SAILING SCHOOL AT FLINDERS YACHT CLUB 09/10
All levels welcome age 8-108!

Hello everyone,

The Junior Sailing School at Flinders Yacht Club will run from Sunday 27th – Thursday 31st December. Following on from the huge success of last year we will be employing Yachting Australia to run the Tackers Program.

There will be three groups:

Age 8-12 with minimal or no sailing experience.
Cost $285.00 for 20 hours tuition & Tackers kit
(T shirt, cap, water bottle & log book).
Cost also includes mid morning snack, BBQ lunch & entry to beach party on 29th December
Tackers One will run from 9am -1pm each day

Age 14 & under for kids who have more experience.
Cost $255.00 for 15 hours tuition & Tackers kit
(T shirt, cap, water bottle & log book).
Cost also includes snacks and BBQ & entry to beach party on 29th December
Tackers Two will run from1.30pm – 5.30pm each day.

Before you sign you children up, please be aware that volunteers run FYC, and for insurance purposes we need one parent or guardian to be present when your child is sailing.

Small Boat Sailing Skills Basic Skills 2 Click here for more info

A new program in Pacers for teen agers and adults 14 years and above.  The teenage/adult learn to sail program is a 20 hour course known as Small Boat Sailing Skills Basic Skills 2.  At the end of the course a participant would be able to jump into any boat, big or small and be a valuable sailing member of the boat.
 
At the end of this course there is the Flinders Yacht Club Junior Cup with a Le Mans start for all participants.
 
There will be a beach party with prizes etc. after the event on the December 29th.

Get involved! It’s Fun!

You don’t have to be an experienced sailor to get involved. We need parents to help with boats, catering, and watch tower duty, so please sign up for any of these jobs, and help us make sure your kids have a really great time.

Places for both groups are limited, so please let me know as soon as possible so I can send you registration details.

As well as the beach party there will be other social activities arranged for the children.
