Facilities


Flinders Yacht Club, overlooking Westernport and Philip Island, is a small, family-oriented sailing club with programs for ages 8 to 80.  The Club caters to both off-the-beach dinghies as well as larger keel boat sailors.  Races are held every Sunday during the season, and twilight races for keel boats on an ad-hoc basis.  The keel boats have moorings in the bay in front of the Club.  The Club facilities include:

• Club house, with two function rooms and a long deck
• Two restrooms with showers
• Kitchen and outdoor BBQs
• Handicap access
• Fenced in, secure, year round boat storage area for members
• Beach front with dinghy launch access
• Two patrol boats
• Control tower and marine communication station
• Club dinghies in various sizes, for use by members
• Boat washing stations
• Strong junior sail training programme (ages 8 to 15 yrs)
• Certified sailing instructors
• Secure
• Active social programme (non-sailers welcome too!)
