Flinders Yacht Club has overlooked Westernport Bay and Philip Island since 1976. We are a small, family-oriented sailing club with programs for the young and young at heart. The Club caters to both off-the-beach dinghies as well as keel and couta boat sailors. Our sailing season is from November to April, with races held every Sunday. We are primarily a holiday sailing club, and our summer program features more regular races, adventure sail trips, supported social sailing and our annual sailing school run by The Boatshed, supported by Bendigo Bank Balnarring. Our foreshore space has plenty of car parking and space for boats. The compound hosts off-the-beach dinghies, as well as tenders for our keel and couta boat sailors and kayaks and stand up paddle boards owned by members. With space to launch and retrieve, we also store larger trailer sailors. The Flinders Pier moorings are home to FYC’s keel and couta boat fleet, with easy access from tenders at the pier, launched at the pier boat ramp, or from tenders stored in the club compound.
